Mommy-Baby Pilates is designed for new moms starting 6 weeks post-partum to enjoy having their babies under crawling age with them during the workout.
This class incorporates Barre Pilates, hand weights and mat workout to increase core and postural muscle strength and flexibility. New moms can join this class without their babies and is suitable for women who has experienced hard labor and have had complications with child birth. *NOT Prenatal Friendly*
Pilates Barre class is an intensive workout that incorporates the elements of dance and Pilates. This routine elongates muscles and works them to fatigue for endurance, strength and tone. It is one of the best routines for sculpting the entire body and specifically legs and hip muscles. It improves balance and co-ordination and can burn a lot of calories without stressing joints.
Pilates Barre is mainly performed in standing position and challenges core and postural muscles.
New to Yoga; or, exploring and growing your new-found love for this ancient practice? Join us for a relaxing and gentle session using yoga props (bolsters, blocks, straps) that will assist to gain and/or re-gain your flexibility & strength. You will experience mindful movement, deep breathing with the intention to restore balance in the body; and, feel wonderful.
Prenatal yoga combines slow movements in safe positions with breathing techniques to generate awareness and improve the mom & baby connection. Prenatal yoga is also proven to improve the strength of pelvic floor and abdominal muscles and prevents future organ prolapse which is commonly seen in during pregnancy and after childbirth. Yoga is proven to alleviate common conditions and discomfort related to pregnancy such as nausea, morning sickness, constipation, circulation, edema, back pain and Sciatica.
